FLWRGRL is one of the main projects and handles of Ashley Person.
FLWRGRL started off in early 2023 to start over after ending her previous lofi project «C1n» and her hyperpop project «Eden Moonchild».
FLWRGRL is experimental and constantly tries to improve and renew mixing aggressive, dark genres like
depressive suicidal black metal and dark ambient metal with the dynamism of EDM-Based genres like breakcore,
vaporwave as well as noise into an unique genre FLWRGRL defines as "Ashcore".
experimenting with excessive sample mixing and sounds filled with angst, fear and bitterness.
One of her main inspirations are Laura Les' 2015 EP «This town makes me sick sometimes»
and 2016 "Hello kitty skateboards to the fucking cemetery"
as well as Burzum's 1992 self titled album and Chuck Person's 2010 album "Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1".
FLWRGRL's first album was supposed to be an all ambient noise, 15 track album called
"That one visual novel about the catholic autistic dog girl that is hopelessly in love with you that you can
psychologically abuse and take advantage of sexually" (Editor's note: Holy shit)
But due to major complications it had to be scrapped, and it's two songs were uploaded as an EP in December 16 2023.
Eventually, those songs were reutilized and added into the finished 2024 full length album «ANGEL»,
perfecting the original vision of the scrapped 2023 album.
As of now, FLWRGRL continues as a project and will continue to experiment with genres and samples for the foreseeable future.
